Should I move her into a larger tank?
Hello! My -I wanna say 6mo?- ball is currently in a 20 gallon. I just got a 40gal long from a yard sale, and I'm wondering if I should move her now or just wait til she's bigger. I have plenty of leaves and stuff to make sure she's secure in there. Since its already cleaned out, she could be in there tongiht even! She's also in shed, past blue. I'd make the move as calm as possible for her. Should I switch her? Thanks!
(This is just a cute pic of her a couple months ago. I just felt like adding it )

I'd wait till after shed. Take the time to get the second enclosure perfect and remember that a tank twice the size will make temps and humidity twice as hard to maintain

Ok! Thank you! I'll be sure to be careful with husbandry.

There's also a good chance your snake won't eat after the move until she gets used to the new home so "I" would wait until she's done shedding, feed her, wait 3 days then make the switch. Then comes the hard part, leave her alone for a few days so she can adapt.

It's not about age it's about weight unless the animal is over 500 grams I do not recommend 40 gallons those are enclosure for adults.
