Are your heat sources regulated by a thermostat?
No, the lamps are on a timer so they go on and off at certain times. I should probably get a thermostat then.

Btw another thing; I just went to a pet store to get a live rat to feed Python X and I told the women about the mite problem I got which I though was caused by a rat, but she said that the bloodmite snakes have does not live on rats. Is this true or is she just trying to sell?

Yes get a thermostat, the Jump Starts are a good lower priced model but you should spring for a Herpstat or VE if you can afford it. You can use a dimmer in a pinch to regulate temps but I prefer the reliability of a thermostat.

Snake Mites don't live on Animals and Vise Versa. There are also Wood Mites.. Use the search on here and you can read about them.
