Shed stuck on chin

My snake shed a couple of weeks ago, and it was a perfect shed except for a patch on her chin. I didn't think much of it at first but I think it may be keeping her from eating. When I gave her a rat she sniffed at it and then started rubbing her chin against her branch. We have soaked her a couple of times since her shed but it hasn't come off. I also tried rubbing it with a wet q-tip but she wasn't having that. What's the best way to remove a shed from an area she doesn't like touched?

Soak then let her slither through a wet washcloth. Gently apply pressure on the problem area and repeat the process until it's gone. Good luck and be sure to update her condition so I won't lose any sleep over it

I was going to try putting her in a pillowcase with a wet towel later today. The problem with soaks is she doesn't usually put her chin in the water and she doesn't like us touching her head and chin.

Even if you didn't soak the snake .

Let it slither repeatedly in a wet rough textured towel whilst applying very GENTLE pressure on the head and face region ..

I've got her in the pillowcase now with one of my husband's towels from basic training. 😋 I read that I should put her on the warm side of her tank but I am a little worried about her overheating.

I usually let mine swim in the bathtub with lukewarm water. All of my snakes seem to enjoy it. It helps with shedding and pooping.

Ball pythons are not water snakes. They do no enjoy swimming and poop due to stress. Wet pillowcase/towels are the way to go with stuck shed.

I did try putting her in a little bit of water in the tub because the vet recommend soaking. She didn't hate it, but she didn't especially enjoy it and she would never put her dang chin in the water.

Just took her out of the pillowcase and she is rubbing her chin furiously. Hopefully it means it's coming off! She even opened her mouth to test it. I was amazed when I saw it.

Just finished round 2 in the pillowcase. She was eager to be out of it but didn't rub her chin on anything this time. I could only get a glimpse of her chin but it did look clearer. Tomorrow we try feeding again!
