Does anyone here have experience with sunbeam snakes?
So I just found out about a snake called sunbeam snakes or iridescent earth snakes. They're absolutely gorgeous with really iridescent scales, and under the right lighting (really bright sunlight) they actually have rainbow colors! They're also ravenous eaters and will eat just about anything that moves, is small enough to get into their mouth, and isn't an insect. I mean everything, toads, rodents, birds, and just about everything you think a snake eats.
Husbandry and housing is also really simple, 78-80° on cool side and 88-90° on warm side, and these are burrowing snakes, so no hides needed, just a loose substrate like wood chips, moss, dirt, etc. The only downside to keeping them is that the humidity requirement is ridiculous, 80-100%. Just wanted to know if anyone has experience with them, since I'm considering it as my next pet.
P. S. This post is also kind of a short caresheet for them, so you're welcome. Also, techically they're not pythons, so moderators, feel free to move this post.
