I know there are a lot of threads re feeding but I am looking for some advice.
my BO I’d 3 years old and weighs 1650g, she last shed at the end of September. Temps and humidity are great in her enclosure.
When I first got her I was told to feed her every 10-14 days. I put the rat in, she would roll all over it and then eat it no problem. About 6 weeks after I got her she struck the rat as I was placing it inside (took me a little by suprise) and then struck every time we fed her after that until 4 weeks ago. We started feeding her every 7 days as per the guidelines we saw in here and it has been hit and miss if she even shows an interest let alone eats it.
She did eat yesterday, I placed the rat in her enclosure before I went to bed at 10pm and she didn’t eat it until 6am this morning. Her reluctance to eat seems to coincide with a stupid friend of ours who thought it was ok to start taking photos with the flash on while I was attempting to feed her!!! I wasn’t happy and made my feelings known and it is since then we have struggled to get the same feeding response.
Is she now scared of food? Has the tryst gone? Or is this just a coincidence and it’s the time of year and she has decided to fast?
