Stinky f/t rat smells like pee

I just thawed a frozen rat and it smells so strong of urine that even the water the rat was thawing in smells. I'm only assuming that the smell is urine, because I've had pet rats and this is a similar smell to when the rats would pee on themselves. I could be wrong though.
I just want to know if its okay to feed a stinky rat?

Yes. Its part of the frozen thawed business. I get mine from big cheese and I mainly get fuzzy and pinkies that smell. I just kinda pat them down with some paper towels. I honestly think feeders smelling like mouse urine stimulates the ball pythons senses even more and can cause more of a feeding reaction.
