How do you guys find the moment to handle your balls?
A bit of a random post, I just wanted to know the proper moment for BP handling. I would usually lift up his hide and scoop him up to handle, but I feel like that's stressing. How do you guys do it?

First of all giggity! Also That's what I do as Jeffree spends most of his time in his hide I've never seen him stressed. As long as he's relaxed when you handle just keep doing what you're doing.

When it's quiet and everybody is asleep....don't want anybody interrupting
But yeah, I'm a night owl, so whenever Khaa comes out to explore I let him do his thing for around 30 minutes then I just reach in and get him out. Besides cleaning, checking for signs of shed and generally just checking on him, I rarely ever handle him 'just because' maybe once a week, if that.

Both my boys stay in their hides during the day and I'm usually asleep at night when they're active, so if I want to handle them, I have to take them from their hides. If you've owned your bp for awhile though and it's already acclimated to you and its enclosure, and your husbandry's good and the snake is not stressed out etc, then they usually should tolerate being handled without any issues, even when you "disturb" them and take them from their hides. Calm and secure handling is what matters. They're generally such chill animals so if you're chill, they will be, too, and they also get used to you just from doing normal maintenance like spot cleaning and changing their water, it really doesn't stress them out or bother them. So yeah. Just lift that hide and scoop him up lol.

I just open the cage and take them out. Handled all of them yesterday for a fairly long time, like I do each day then fed them about an hour later.

Night time is best. I prefer to handle them when they are already active, and not wake them up.
I almost always handle my balls at night, when it’s quiet, in my bedroom, with the door closed.

I wait until my boy is out and roaming around then I grab him when he isn't expecting it and give him a big ol' squeeze. Mine pretty much dictates when he is ready and tolerant of being handled so really it is up to him.
