Depending on the size of this ball python, you may want to start out with a tub setup then migrate to a PVC enclosure.

Glass can be infuriating if you are not in a certain part of the country that is easier on their husbandry requirements.

Minimal listings of what you need are:

• enclosure with escape proof lid
• heat source(s) depending on how warm the room they are kept in
• thermostat for each heat source (not an option)
• 2 hides - on on warm and one on cold side
• water bowl
• substrate
• clutter as in decor for them to feel comfortable in
• thermometers and not those analog stick on ones you find at petco. Digital thermometers. Preferably also an infrared temp gun
• humidity gauge and also not one of those horrible analog stick on ones but a digital one

Some optional items that can help

• misting bottle for water mistings that keep humidity up
• light if you do not have a day night cycle of ambient light in the room. Ball pythons need a natural light cycle even though they are nocturnal. It helps them keep normal rhythms. Thankfully most ambient light in the room is sufficient
• tongs, tweezers, or hemostats for feeding
• the location of the closest exotic vet if something goes wrong
