No no my room temp gets to 66. My wall temps never fall below 72. My ambient is between 83 and 79 depending on the location in the enclosure. I have an air buffer inside the cage where the cold his is about 4 inches in from the wall and about even with the edge of the RHP. It means the cold hide sits about 79 degrees. The warm hide is also about 4 inches in from the wall and it rests at 90 constantly. Dante cruises through the day and night between the warm and cool hide.

I don't do the typical RHP placement. I have it slightly offset form the front center of the enclosure to control only ambient temps. I use hte UTH heat tape to control hot temps. It has worked out amazingly well and inf act Dante is in his cool hide right now while the outside temp is 33

I also have the enclosure a foot away from the wall to avoid it getting cold. It really helps keep temps up. There is a HVAC vent above the enclosure but I have that about 90% closed. Creating buffers like this help all my enclosures stay warmer. The coldest enclosure is my rosy boa which hits about 73 against he cold wall but again the hides are in from the walls to give a buffer.
