Kiddo and snake moving-SD/NE keeping snakes

Good day. My kiddo and her bp are moving to northern NE near the border of SD with my ex. Right now, we’re in AZ. BP is currently in a 40 gal “tall” aquarium. It works due to our ambient room temps. This will NOT work for cooler temps. I don’t have the money, right now, to purchase an AP enclosure. When they move, probably March 17, I’m thinking that a under bed tub might be best. We have an UTH with thermostate, and I am running a heat bulb to raise ambient temperatures. Humidity is controlled by homemade mister/humidifier.

So, any other tips? Can you use a heat lamp on a tub that is that short in height? I know she’ll need to insulate the outsides of the tub during winter. Are there any other suggestions? The town they will be moving to is extremely small, so I’ll need to configure the set up and send backup supplies prior to the move.

I like CHEs better than heat lamps, I guess you could do it if it was on a dimmer. You could cut out an insert in the tub and glue in some mesh to put the light on. Also I wouldn't rely on the locking lids for the tub, I use luggage straps to hold the lid down on my bloods tub.
