Ying is up to about 2-1/2 kilos now. Sunday morning we got her into a pillowcase and thoroughly cleaned her cage. She promptly showed her appreciation by leaving a big pile of metabolic end products. Right below and in front of the end of the shelf where she was coiled up.
I managed to ignore it until after dinner, then opened the door. She started moving around in a worrying way, and I decided to use the big sturdy snake hook to keep her back. I got most of the pile out, and she started hissing. We’ve never heard her hiss before. I decided whatever was left would have to wait until she’d moved and/or is less cranky.
