    Question Poll on what heat source you use for tubs

    Which UTH method do you prefer for heating your Sterilite/Rubbermaid tubs?

    Heat tape (flexwatt or other brand)

    Zoo med heat mat

    Exo-terra heat mat

    Ultratherm heat mat

    I use UTH for stand-alone tubs and have flexwatt for my rack.

    Those UTH are just different brands. Ultratherm stays the lowest temp (around 110~120) even without a thermostat and warms up the slowest, compared to zoomed and exoterra, so ultratherms are the safest. Obviously still requires a thermostat, but just not spiking hot like the other two.
