If you dont plan on bringing the whole setup, then what are you going to house him in once you get there ??? What do you plan on housing him in for those 2-3 days ??
When i transport my snakes, i put them in a small rubbermaid with air holes drilled in the sides and then i put the rubbermaid in a pillowcase.you can either do that or put the snake in the pillowcase and then put it in the container, either way works but actually being in the pillowcase i think makes them feel more close and secure.

ok...but i think what im asking is how big does the rubbermaid have to be to be ok for him to live in for 2-3 days.....my BP is only about 1.5 feet now...still a baby

Well......i guess that depends on how big you want to go and how much room you want to give him, they have pretty cheap rubbermaids of all sizes at walmart, i got a 95 quart for only 8 bucks.I would not limit his space to much, he still needs a waterbowl and hides remember.
Are you taking a heating pad or anything ?

Well its not setup for snakes, its for hermit crabs.I use glass tanks for all my snakes although im thinking about switching cleaning is really a pain, those tanks are so heavy !

Hmm im really not sure, i have only taken my snakes on short rides when heat is not needed maybe somebody else will know........sorry
