I silicone my Acurite Thermometer probes down under the substrate with Bath & Tile Silicone if in a Glass Tank & I use a 1/8 screw (theres a tab) to hold it (covered in Silicone) in my PVC enclosures.
My Thermostat Probes Hang under my RHP's and when using a UTH they go between the UTH & enclosure. .
