I'm curious how do you know the super mojave has spider? Is it from a black light?

The father was a Super Mojave Spider that I had from a hatchling that was actually sold to me as just a Super Mojave. Daddy is a basket case wobbler who I almost sent back. He was my personal introduction to the spider gene. I am glad I didn't give up on him though. Eventually he calmed down and grew like a weed. He made beautiful babies this year. His single gene girls are amazing and they are now holdbacks.

Anyway, at this point I can smell a spider BEL a mile off. There were two BELs in that clutch. Both turned out to be spider. Neither wobbled in the beginning. Believe it or not, even without a blacklight you can see the underlying pattern in the right light if you know what to look for. Come feeding time there was no doubt they were spiders. After you have dealt with enough spiders, even those with "no noticeable wobble", you can tell especially when the food comes out.

Even in that picture if you look hard enough you can see the very tight small teardrop pattern that indicates spider in the BEL.

isn't it also in the BEL Spider eyes? i thought they're not true blue/silver in color, but much darker.

That is so interesting! That really makes me wonder if my super lesser has spider then, because he always had this mysterious wobble similar to that of spiders, but everyone I asked always figured it was a neurological issue from overheating or incubated incorrectly lol. He's pure white though, no visible pattern probably unless I use a black light. And I don't know his breeding.

u should breed him and see what pops up.

Where's the small teardrop pattern you mean?

it's the space between alien heads, right above the belly. sometimes there's blushing, sometimes flaming. the outline of this space is sometimes referred to as teardrops.
