I get having fears but this is just... WOW

The spider was out for 3 days??? Oh hell NO!!!!!! NOOOOPEE!!! If I even see a little spider in my room I won't sleep til I know it's flushed down the toilet let alone a pet I'm assuming tarantula... I was born in Florida so I can actually say invasive Burmese pythons are the least of my worries especially since there's actual venomous snakes commonly around along with huge spiders Nuh uh I don't know what my parents were ever thinking for moving there at one point!!!

I don't think it's a tarantula. It's not hairy enough for that. I'm a bit more tolerant -- I see a spider in a part of the house I don't frequent I'll leave it alone bc we get isopods that come in with every rain (crappy apartment). Scary the spider has her own little area and she doesn't bother us, so Scary stays! lmao.

Honestly even if a spider's out of its enclosure it's not likely you'd interact with it. They like dark, low-light places with little foot-traffic, so if you're in a part of the house that's well-frequented I doubt you'd ever run into an escaped spider. Who knows, though. I don't keep them for a reason lmao.

Now, compare your reaction to a molt of a spider, not the spider itself, to this woman's reaction. Her actions may not have been professional, but her fear is understandable. Fear isn't reasonable and it often blindsides us, and we're not always the best at controlling our reactions.

I agree that she should have done her job or phoned someone else to. But vilifying her fear isn't really the answer here.

I totally understand being afraid it wasn't her leaving it was the abruptness of it and she was pretty rude about it.
