    Some forget that the general behavior guidelines are subject to a bit of individuality. I grew up two rat snakes, same exact setups, same temps, same spot in the house, same everything. My female is out and about all the time. My male just pokes his head out to watch you fold laundry. They've since had their setups changed but it is important to remember that not every snake will fit into the standard guidelines.
