Racks are great if you have multiple snakes or breed snakes and you don't have an entire room/house to dedicate to filling them up with enclosures.
PVC enclosures are great if you don't have a ton of snakes and just have a few to look after.
I have no words on tubs because I choose not to use them but I do know that were there to have been PVC like animal plastics offer and for the cost they offer 7 years ago, I would have never bothered with a glass enclosure for my ball python.
Excluding racks my personal feelings are PVC > tubs > wooden vivarium > glass.
