I apologize, after reading what I wrote, that did sound confusing! I am using an UTH at all times. I am wondering about the overhead heat lamp. I’ve read that it will become too hot and I’ve also been told that you should add the heat lamp at night time. I recently got the snake and am waiting for a more accurate thermometer to come in the mail, as well as a thermostat for the heating pad. I do understand the thermostat for the UTH is critical, but for the time being I was told it is fine since the substrate I am using is thick. What are the temperatures supposed to be reading on the tstat for the UTH?
