    Re: New Snake! Name suggestions?

Well, first you gotta let her acclimate to her new home a little first. After she's had three consecutive successful feedings with you then I would start with some short handling sessions.

Start at about 5 minutes then increase the time as you feel she starts to get more comfortable. Youlk have to learn her body language and be able to tell when she's had enough. She'll be stressed at first, balled up real tight and just wanting to hide. After a few handlings she should start to become more curious, unfurl and look around, but take care for when see starts to run away as I trying to get away to safety pretty fast. This typically means she's had enough.

Each snake is different, my boy Meeko got used to it all real fast. Never even going through the balling up faze, but my girl Azura on the other hand, I've been handling her for weeks now and I still don't want to handle her for more then 10 or 15 mins as to not stress her out to bad, she's only just now starting to not ball up the whole time XD

Every animal is different and some will take more time to get used to you then other but with time and patience any with get used to you with time
