Curtains open help reproduce natural day and night cycles. I use a neodymium bulb during the day. Not for heat, use Che and uth for heat, but to reproduce uva uvb rays, (BP's don't require them but i like to try and reproduce natural environment for them) then only use infared at night.Originally Posted by Axel28

Why does Axel seem to not come out at night unless my curtains have been opened all day? let me explain this a little better, If the curtains are shut all day, NO light coming through, he will just stay in his hide all day and night, but when I open the curtains, and it gets night time he seems to enjoy getting out.
I know, "A hiding Ball Python, is a happy Ball Python." I am just curious, does he like it better with the curtains open all day and then shut at night? lol
