    Blood in urate?

My ball python just shed and peed as he usually does when he sheds. However, I noticed what looks like splotches of blood around his urate. Is this a problem? I've never seen this happen with him before. Here's the picture:

How old? It looks small. Could be it eliminating the last of the umbilical cord.

Much too late for an umbilical shed. I'm a little concerned that it may be a result of him sticking the duct tape. Does your local vet deal with sneks? This is a concern I'd go to a herpetoligist for.

That was a different snake that got stuck to the tape. He's doing fine now thankfully.

From this thread it looks like it's a normal occurrence, I'm just gonna keep an eye on him and see if it happens again.

The skin tear from the cloaca/vent when a snake sheds and it causes a little blood to appear, completely normal.
