You can also try rat fuzzies. I always try to switch my BP's (even the hatchlings) to rats ASAP. It can be a pain to feed an adult Ball Python mice, as it would take several mice to make up a proper meal. When you could just feed one medium rat.
Besides, you can get a live rat fuzzy if he doesn't go for frozen / thawed just yet. I would NOT leave a live mouse in that tank with the snake. They chew. Even on the snake.
