Shedding help

So my BP finished a full shed four days ago. The only part that didn't come off in one piece was her head! She can't seem to get it off. Any tips or tricks?

Boost humidity. 70%+ should be helpful.

Yep I would bump humidity. Make her a moist hide or put a larger water container in the enclosure.

I have a sterilite tub with holes in the top lid as my go to for all snake containment needs

A soak for 30 minutes or so in luke warm water (like 80-85 degrees) that is no more than 2/3 the height of the snake should be more than enough to soften that stuck shed. Not sure if you noticed but your snake's tail has a stuck shed too. I like to use q-tips to gently assist with the removal of stuck shed. They do wonders to grip slimy shed. Just make sure to be extra gently and don't pull if there is much resistance. Gentle and slow movement should be more than enough to get that off. I would also place paper towels of a towel in the but to help assist with the removal. There is a chance they can do it themselves but don't be afraid to assist.

The tail stuck shed should come off no problem and the head will either come off with help or eventually after the soak. If 30 minutes is not long enough another 30 might be needed. Make sure to never leave a snake unattended while soaking however.

If a soak isn't working there are methods to use a damp pillow case but I have no experience with that method.

Like other's have said, boosting to 70% humidity during shed will do wonders for a perfect shed next time.

Soak works but can ruin the nerves of more easily stressed snakes. Other options are:

• Large warm dampened washcloth. Let the animal move between your hands, going through the washcloth.
• Same washcloth in a tied up laundry bag or pillowcase. Leave them for a while.
• Getting a smallish box for the animal's size, fill with a rougher humidity-retaining substrate. Ventilate the tub enough for breathing. Soak substrate. Leave snake in box with dampened warm substrate and allow it to rub/burrow until it works the shed off.

I aim for 80-85% during mine's sheds. Makes it more likely for the hides to maintain a higher humidity.
