Update on F/T and a question!

Hey guys so today is the second time I feed noodle a ft and so far it was a success, as I type right now and this is a first, he took the mice to his cave, this is the first time he does this, he usually gets it, eats it and then goes back, I don't wanna bother him and check but anyone with a similar experience? Thank you in advance!

I haven't experienced this yet but please post some more pictures. That's a beautiful looking BP. What kind is he?

I have a 6 year old that still sometimes likes to drag his dinner back into his hide. I am not sure if yours would do the same but mine always like to poke his head out when done as if to ask if there will be more

The fact you have a healthy feeding response to f/t is wonderful so I would not worry much at all about yours dragging it back to a safe spot to eat and digest.

Update on F/T and a question!

Thank you! He is a lesser pastel, I see him kinda struggling into eating him, but I can't really tell because he's inside his hide I just see him moving around lol

Update: I can see that he grabbed him through the butt and he keeps on moving around, what should I do?

Let him figure it out, my snake typically grabs the mice from their sides or butts and she always eats in the privacy of her hide. If you really want, you could look but it may take the snake out of feeding mode. I wouldn't intervene unless he's actually trying to swallow it butt first, and in that situation I'm not sure what to do but if he's like my girl and most snakes I've seen, he'll kinda glide his nose along the mouse until he figures out where it's nose is and then start eating it.

I see your last post was four hours ago so you've probably done/not done something by now but here's for future anyways.

Usually eating a prey item either butt or side first means that its too small.

Both my new snake and my son's snake ate their meals butt first last week. It was kind of odd. The new snake is eating fuzzies right now, I know they are too small but she gets two of them which add up tho just the right weight. I have a bunch left since I bought bulk based on Petsmart's feeding instructions when we got my son's snake.

Accidentally hit send... Anyway, I have fuzzies and she eats twoof them at a time like candy. She'll get moved up soon... My son's snake on the other hand is eating weaned rats, which is correct per the feeding chart but he still choked it down butt first. It was a little comical to watch.

Yea I have to say that this is the first time he does this, he is 128 grams and his food is 19grams, according to the chart that I have that's fine, he did come out for a second after he ate it to check if there was some more lol
