Yeah I got a good sniff of both ends. Good end had no smell (other than typical egg smell) and the bad end had an odor, but it's hard to describe. It wasn't rotten/offensive, but it was definitely different. Do you think it would be wise to cut at day 53? I cut an egg at day 45 from the last clutch because it was so caved in I thought the baby had passed. Well it crawled out a couple days later and has been eating and growing just fine. I'm worried that whatever is going on might affect the yolk and end up causing complications for the baby. It's hard to really see in the pic, but when I candle the bad end, that spot that doesn't really show anything almost looks like a pocket of air. Like there may be some gas building up. Would it be okay if I poked a small hole there to see if it's that's the case?
