Always better to err on the side of caution when dealing with mother nature. Best wishes.

Hello all. I got to the place and hunkered down.

Unfortunately, the area for the snakes is a bit cooler than I would prefer but our power went out. Worse, my elderly dogs are stressing out in a major way. I spent last night laying on a cement floor trying to calm the old yorkie down. So I've had no sleep and I hurt from laying on a cold cement floor.

Adding to this? My county enacted a curfew until 8pm today, a 24 hour curfew, which no other county did. We didn't even get that much damage, being inland, supposedly. So I still couldn't go home, but intended to leave as soon as feasible.

But, the exit to the neighborhood I'm in, sheltering with friends, is flooded. It's deep enough that a lifted Jeep had some issue making it through.

So I'm even more stressed and I have another night here and will attempt to leave to get back home in the morning. I still have zero idea if my place is intact or not, I don't think it has power(my town is almost 100% out of power).

So I'm extremely stressed and distressed. I appreciate all the well wishes, to the utmost.

gosh that's horrible. i hope it gets better. but when it gets tough, remember to follow this mantra: Stop being a wimpy monkey,; bare some teeth, steal some food and fling poo with the alphas.
