Could you show us a picture of your set up? It's a little hard to visualize by the description alone and we can provide more help that way.

One thing for sure is your bp needs two identical hides, one for the warm side and one for the cool side. What are you using to measure your humidity and are your heat sources regulated by a thermostat?
