This is a nice example of a full grown, male boa constrictor. Boa Constrictor I or Boa Constrictor C it doesn't matter much. Folks looking to step up in size and activity levels from royal pythons would do just fine with boa constrictors.

The very large boas are rare, and I get a little disappointed when I see folks shy away from mainland boa constrictors because they fear their size. This guy may hit a solid 7 feet someday. I think he's close, but I can say handling even a 7 foot boa is much, much more relaxing than handling a 6 foot and much lighter bodied retic.

There are some very capable people out there as keepers that are maybe missing out on a great species because they think boas get too big.

I'd love to own another one!
