URGENT BP got boiling water over head

It was a jar that was filled with boiling water. My mum usually keeps it for ticks she finds on the dogs. I was carrying him around and was going to weigh him with the scales in the kitchen and I didn't realise the jar of water close to the scales was still boiling, I thought it was cool because everyone had been out for a bit. As I went to move it out of the way (and realising it was still very hot) my bp struck at it before I could even react. They're lightning fast, that's for sure. I guess I'll have to keep an even closer eye on him.

I live in deer country here in Southwestern Virginia -- ticks are everywhere. Tell your mom that a jar of tap water with a healthy dose of the soap that you use to hand-wash dishes -- like Cascade, Palmolive, or Dawn (wait for the foam or bubbles to dissipate) -- will sink those ticks to the bottom like stones. No need to use boiling water at all. You can use the contents of the jar for days at a time on those nasty ticks. Good luck!
