i use a Dunlap Human heating pad (and no it is does not have the auto shut off feature) for heating my cage. Does anyone elses temps fluctuate when using this same pad??? Mine will go from one night at 80 and the next day to close to 94?

Most likely that is due to fluctuating room temps. heating pads aren't really designed for absolute temps, but for x amount higher than the surrounding temps. If yours fluctuates that much, I'd suggest you make getting a thermostat a priority.

Garrett, you can buy thermostats that are built for exactly this kind of purpose in your local pet store or online at places like http://www.lllreptile.com/ .
