    Placement of under tank heater

I recently got rid of by young bp, and getting an adult. Had some major problems with the young one and when rearranging my tank, I was looking at my under tank heater and wondered if it was in a good spot. Yes I already stuck it on, so I'm fine with getting a new one, but was wondering if I should or if it's fine. I'm trying to also figure out how to post a pic of it, so when I get that, it will be up.

I don't necessarily see anything wrong with the placement but I don't see a thermostat or any wires for one. You absolutely must have a thermostat to control the temp. You can hurt or kill your snake and I personally know from experience that they can actually get hot enough to crack the glass without one.

Yes I do have one, I just removed it for cleaning so I didn't get it wet. Couldn't move the pad, so I tried to avoid water. For the first week I didn't have one and then felt the bottom and it burnt me so bad, I ended up just turning it off until I got a thermostat

Cool, just wanted to make sure. It looks like you have room to fit a hide over the top of it, so I would think that's fine.
