Heat them up in hot water. Allow to thaw for a few hours at room temp and then dunk in hot water. But once it's been heated yes....its garbage. We have 22 snakes. So we only heat up one at a time and offer down the line. Any that were not eaten nor heated can be refrozen once and only once.
