    Are you looking at the widest part of his body?

    Another basic rule of thumb for hatchlings is the prey should weigh 10-15% of the snake's weight. At 113 grams 10% would be 11 grams and 15% would be 17 grams. By following the chart I posted earlier that would fall right into the size that small adult mice are.
