    Eye problem

Does anybody know what's up with my girl's eye? We got her in February and think she's about 9 months old. Her last shed was 7/19 and I noticed this on 7/23. Pretty sure both caps came off completely, but I can be wrong... any thoughts?

Looks like some of the skin in the groove around the eye got pulled out so it is visible. Try wetting the groove. Then wet your thumb and wipe it over the eye from back to front a few times. The idea is to pull the eyecap forward so that skin drops back into the groove.

I don't think it is a major problem. Even if the suggestion doesn't work, it's likely to fix itself at next shed.

    Good luck.

This happened to my snake once, and there was a thread about it from someone else in the past. If you look at my post history you can find it. Looks like it happens during shed sometimes. It cleared up by next shed on my BPs eye. Just make sure your husbandry is ok, and it'll work itself out on its own.

Just leave it alone. It will correct itself within a few days. It can happen during a shed or even if the snake hits it's eye against something. It is not uncommon and will be fine.

Thank you! She didn't love the whole wet thumb thing but I'll wait it out and see if it resolves itself.
