Should I move my ball python to bigger cage?

I have a one and a half year old 1022 g male ball python in a medium low exo-terra glass terrarium. Should
i move him to a bigger cage?

I upgrade enclosures when the length of the snake is close to the sum of the length plus the width of the enclosure.

I'm not sure exactly what size that tank is but for the most part 20 gallons or larger is good. Normally for males a 20 gallon is good for most of his life unless he happens to be really active at night. I personally kept mine in a 20 gallon and just recently switched him over to a 40 as he grew but the 40 was just too big for him, there was just too much space in it and no matter how much greenery and stuff I filled it with he was just very stressed out, ball pythons like small enclosed spaces. so he is back in the 20 for now

I got my 1620g 4.5' pied girl in a 4x2 AP T8 with a shelf. In my opinion, you can never go too big. Size is a direct reflection of available funds at the time. Just clutter it up and they will be fine. Just like the wild, they dont live in a 3x2 chunk of land but they do have lots of places to hide.

I think you should because time will come your snake will change its size and become more bigger that before.
