I hate when vendors do that. Just tell them to list it for the price they want to sell it for and not to play games.
As for them saying no one would ever sell it for $1, ask them then why did they list it for $1 and not the true price they were looking to get.
As for telling you to contact them when you get 'serious', I would have told them there are a lot of other breeders out there who have much better manners so i will give them my thousands of dollars. Have a nice day.
I personally have never even heard of VIP constrictors and after the 'get serious' comment, i know i wont deal with them. I've never had a breeder be rude like that. Personally would have irked me and i probably would told him off lol. But thats me. All the breeders I've dealt with were more than happy to answer any questions and usually they ended up getting the sale as i wouldnt want to waste mine and their times asking a bunch of stuff unless i was interested in the animal.
