Bumblebee lost ALL yellow within one shed!

I had a bumblebee ball python that had lots of yellow. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of it even though I hatched it way back in 2015, because, well, it's a bumblebee male... why would I take a pic of it out of all my hundreds of snakes?

In fact, I was thinking about selling It because it is male and I have no use for him in my projects, and quite frankly I have been thinking about getting out of snake breeding completely. You'll just have to take my word for it, because I have no old pictures. Just days ago, he had bright yellows all over with only a small amount of grey along the spine.

Today I was cleaning tubs and saw he shed. He now has NO yellow at all whatsoever! Looks like an axanthic! What's going on??

I read somewhere that Hitler got his hands on the first Albino Burm ( or was it a Royal Python ) 70 odd years ago and it cost him £50,000 ---- wonder what that would be today's money !?!?

Sounds like something similar to what folks were calling "IMG" or increasing melanin gene. You might want to search it.

It's a thing that happens to bumble bees and killer bees sometimes. No one really knows why but as far as I know it is not predictable nor inheritable.
