Many bug sprays have a cover scent, or they may have citronella. I can't imagine they'd care for the smell very much.
I'd also shower as soon as I got home, but that's because I don't like bug spray on me either. I recognize it's a necessity this time of year though, especially with the ticks and mosquitos as bad as they are.
