Don't want to freak you out but you should definitely be sure that the redish thing on your bp is not a burn from the UTH. Are you using belly heat source or a lamp? Thermostat controlled?

I use thermostat UTH but it's set at a very low level. It typically registers 80-82F. On the opposite side of the terrarium I use overhead heat that registers 88-90F.
The marking doesn't really seem like she feels any distress at all when I rub the area.
And she actually is at the beginning of her shed cycle.
