had the same situation at work, our lightest BP Candy also gotten redish marks on the belly and on the sides, we were using exo terra forest bark at the time when she got it, looks the same as repti bark if its bigger pieces about 1-2cm. On the other hand my snake at home (pastel) was on that substrate an he was totaly fine. Maybe some snakes can be a bit more sensitive. . .
