Not Eating
I know this is another one of THOSE posts but I'm at a loss. I got Cleo about 3 months ago as a hatchling at a reptile convention. She is very docile and loves to come out and observe her surroundings. She has never tried to bite me but she has also never tried to bite her food. I have force fed here twice, she was looking rather sick. She had her first shed as well, before she ate anything. I have tried many things to no success. Is something wrong with the habitat? Her temps are mid to low 70's on the cool side during the day and mid to low 80's in the basking spot. They stay in the 70's at night. Humidity is 50%-70%. She's a great snake, I could really use some help. I'm sorry for being another one of the people who asked the same question many others have, and thanks for anything you offer!

Re: Not Eating
Raise the temps. Its too cold especially for hatchling especially for thick substrate. Put small hides on both sides. Temps should be 90-93 on hot side and 80 ambient on cool side. Dont handle her until she eats few times. Forced feeding was done way to early. Feed live pinki rat. If doesnt work live hopper mice

Re: Not Eating
I'll do that, thanks for your help! How long should I have waited to force feed?

Re: Not Eating
It was assist feeding. She took it once I got her to open her mouth a bit. Sorry for using the wrong term.

Re: Not Eating
Yep your temps are to low. How is your humidity? 50%-60% is your goal.
