The easiest way to tell the difference between BCC and BCI from the saddles. The BCIs have oval light spots while BCCs have central spikes of the dark part going into the light.

Not true. Peruvian BCC can have pinched saddles.

At the OP- your snake looks like a BCI to me. Babies can have bright red tails but it darkens with age. Here is my 5 year old Colombian girl for example who had a bright red tail as a baby.
