Incubator temps

I have consistently been getting temps around87.8-88.5 when I measure temps in my incubator. Today got a reading of 90.6. Should I be worried that it's that high? What temps are considered to high?

The important is really the temp in the egg box itself, and there will be a difference between the temp on the egg box and the one in the incubator.

I prefer to stay under 90 personnally.

Yeah I meant in the egg box. Sorry for the confusion. It's always been below 90, but today with the temp gun it was coming up just above 90. Weird that it had a small spike. Been watching it for 15-20 days and never had this. Going to keep watching it. Maybe I'll drop the thermostat a degree if I keep getting these readings

Im new to this as well but, the 15-20 days it stayed steady, was that before you added the eggs? Is it possible that the eggs themself could of raised the temp a degree or two? I'm not sure how early they start to build a little heat themself but I do remember reading at some point they do. Either way, i would think your best bet is just to drop your thermostat a degree or two and keep a close eye on your temps. If the temp stays consistent at the lower setting, then problem solved.
