Orange Belly or Orangebelly is most likely a unique, high quality line of Yellowbelly. It is completely compatible with Yellowbelly (it will produce and Ivory when bred to a Yellowbelly). Sometimes, Orangebellies produce Graphite Ivories. These look like an Ivory that someone sharpened a pencil over, sprinkling graphite dust on them. Some Graphite Ivories have some of their spots when they are born, some take a little bit of time to develop their spots. All Graphite Ivories will get more spots as they age. While no one knows how to tell which Orangebellies will produce a Graphite Ivory, a Graphite Ivory will make more Graphite Ivories.
I work with the Orangebelly gene and have produced 2 Graphite Ivories by pairing a male Oragnebelly to a female Yellowbelly and 1 Graphite Ivory by pairing a different Orangebelly male (a son of the first Orangebelly male) to an Orangebelly female (a daughter of the first Orangebelly male). All 3 of my Graphite Ivories took about 6 to 9 months to get their first graphite spots, but after the graphite spots started showing up, they would get darker and more would show up with each shed. I have also produced Pastel Orangebellies, Orangebelly Mojaves, and Orangebelly Specters (Super Stripes). All of them have been really good examples of the combinations.
