It's honestly less a matter of "too big" and more if you can provide enough hides, fake leaves, cover, and overall a "secure feeling" for a baby bp. Hatchlings not only don't like open space, but they need to find spots where they're 100% hidden and curled up in small tight spaces, in order to feel safe enough to eat.

It's also dialing in your temps and humidity correctly, which is harder in a glass tank. The reason people use plastic tubs for snakes isn't just to be cheap, it's because plastic holds heat and humidity much better.
