Question Heating Pad or Heating Lamp???

Okay so is it okay to just have a uth? I also will buy a thermostat for it and if i put the thermometer probe inside the tank on the hot side would it be okay? Do i really truly need a lamp?

Not as long as you have proper temperatures though a heat mat is only for a hot spot and does almost nothing for ambient temperatures.

In order to run just a UTH the ambient temps in the room would need to be high enough.

Basically, your UTH only creates your hot spot. This is where your snake will tend to hang out during digestion after feeding. However, your UTH will barely affect your ambient temps, if at all.
So, unless the room where the enclosure will be kept remains at a pretty constant temperature of around 80 degrees you will need an additional heat source, also on a thermostat.

Okay that makes since. We keep our house around 75 degrees year round. I will watch the temps with just a UTH when i get my tank and see how the temps are on the cooler side. thank you

With your house already at 75, you may only need a small che to bring the temp up a little.

with an ambient temp of 75 in the house you will need an additional heat source. just the UTH won't be sufficient. The UTH creates a hot spot only
