strange issuse

i was feeding my BP monty and he was strangling the mouse when suddenly the mouse peed all over him is this a problem i think it might be irritating him

I doubt very much that it is a problem. Im no expert but I cant see anything that urine could do to hurt your BP.

The mouse peed on your snake? I take it you're feeding live then? Well, switch to prekilled or frozen thawed and you won't have to worry about mousey pee, or bites, irritating your bp.

the urine wouldnt effect the snake in any manner that i know of
but if you think it might possibly be causing some sort of problem, give him a bath

yea thats happened to my bp! oh yea and it still happens cuz i feed it prekilled is just basically squeezing the bladder!

how do u kill the mice if ur doing prekilled?

the way i prekill a mouse or rat is to grab ahold of their tail and put them on a hard surface and take a ruler or other object. then i put the ruler behind their neck. then i press down on the ruler and pull up on their tail untill i hear a cruch or popping sound from their neck breaking.

or you can stick them in a bag and hit them against a hard surface but i could never kill them that way. i guess that i wasnt hitting them hard enough.

You can also use CO2 to suffocate them. You can use dry ice, or there is a sticky in the Feeders forum on how to build a gas chamber.

There is also a sticky in the same forum on how to kill mice humanely.

I was going to build the gas chamber but it was going to be a big PITA to get the CO2 refilled.
