Re: What is the cheapest but reliable place to order frozen rodents online?

It was still $43, but it's the price I have to pay for this sucker. It's also still a month worth of food, so I'm not going to be complaining in a couple weeks
There's really not a way to avoid the price of shipping unfortunately unless you can find a local retailer.
I have 8 snakes and I usually order about 6 months worth of feeders at a time. Even when I only had 1 or 2 snakes it was always more economical to buy in bulk than to pay pet store prices. If my BP was eating weaned rats I'd buy 1 pack of weaners and a pack of smalls. That'll cost a tad over $81 and last almost 9 months if you're feeding every 7 days. I dont think that's bad at all. The feeders are vacuum sealed and I usually break them down into smaller packages to reduce air exposure. I've never had any issues with freezer burn. This is my last feeder order from January and I still have plenty of food for my critters. I probably should have ordered more large rats because my carpets are growing fast but I'll just double up on the mediums if need be. The way I see it is $273 to feed 8 snakes for 6 months is less than $6 per month per critter. You can't beat that.
