Ball python shedding

I have had my ball for almost 2 months and he still has not shed. What are some signs of a ball about to shed besides the foggy eyes? I noticed when I held him today that his skin looked a little darker around his spine, could this be a sign that he is about ready to?

No worries..he will shed whn his body says it is time.. "foggy" eyes is only indicator of shed.

You will often see a pink belly first, followed by cloudy, dull looking skin. Then the eyes will turn opaque into blue. After the eyes clear the snake will look pretty normal again. Anywhere from next day to a few days after that your BP will shed, and often leave you a stinky present next to the balled up shed skin.

The process can take as little as a few days to over 10 days.
My BP sheds start to finish in 4 days like clockwork. My Kingsnake is usually 7 or 8 days. My corns are usually around 10 days. The hognose I'm snake-sitting just shed in 9 days.

The process varies from animal to animal though. Just keep your eyes open and be ready to give your humidity a little bump. If your husbandry is on point your snake will have a nice, one-piece shed for you. Whenever he's ready, that is.
